Sunday

Yesterday was Sunday. I read the Bible verses and I read the theme of the service (July 15, 2012) from my church , Saint John Evangelism Lutheran Church, Ambler, PA. The Pastor e-mails the entire service to us weekly. This is great if you must miss a Sunday. The music was Jazz & Gospel. This is the music every third Sunday. Our scripture readings were:
Amos 7:8-15, Ephesians 1:3-14, Mark 6:14-29, and Psalm 85:8-13 (I will listen to what the LORD GOD is saying)
The Pastor also suggested reading a little about Bishop Desmond Tutu. She gave us several web sites, one of which is: http://www.tutufoundationusa.org/      She also suggested 4 books.
~Made for Goodness
~No Future Without Forgiveness
~ God Has a Dream:
A Vision of Hope for Our Time
~God is not a Christian and other Provocations.
I think I may try the last book.

On Sunday, we spent the day with Mary, a friend of Jim's,  in Hallandale, Florida. She was very giving and we appreciated her hospitality. She took us to eat at Crackle Barrel, she took us to the Hallandale beach and then she just drove us around her area. We enjoyed her company.
Once we got back on the road, we made it to Miami Beach. Jim & I got our feet wet for just a little while. Sunday was the start of our second week.
