A Lovely Day

On Thursday, July 26, 2012 as we were riding, Jim said this IS a Lovely Day. We were also listening to the song,
"A Lovely Day" by Bill Withers.
 Some of the lyrics are:
When I wake up in the morning,
Love and Sunshine hurt my eyes . . .

When the day that lies ahead of me
Seems impossible to face.
When someone else instead of me
Always seems to know the way.

Then I look at you
And the world's alright with me.
Just on look at you, and I know
It's gonna be a

Lovely Day, Lovely Day, Lovely Day

It was truly another lovely Day. Jim got up early so that we could head to the Dragon's Tail in North Carolina. Again as mentioned, 11 miles, 318 curves. Does this seem impossible?  The night before, we stayed in Mt. Juliet, TN in a Quality Inn that was not very nice. There was no real breakfast (Wrapped Danish).

Once we were on the road, it was another pleasant day. The weather as great, maybe in the 80s and there was a warm breeze. The sky was a bathroom powder blue with puffy white clouds painted in the sky. It took us a while to get there and we arrived about 6:00PM. Bikers are usually friendly and helpful people. We spoke with one guy from our state, Pennsylvania and he gave us some advice. All day people would say, "Be Careful" once we informed them of where we were going or what we were looking for. This biker said,
"Keep the Shiny Up"
